One Word

from Decalogy by G.A.S. DRUMMERS

lyrics

I’ve been waiting for my time and for my place
I’ve been living on the edge for many years
I had my values, I had my limit
A lot of things happened and I was a witness
While the world was looking aside we made it our way.

One word, one secret
One word

That I don’t want to say to you now,
I don’t want to play in this ground
I just want to stay out of bounds
And leave it behind

Everybody is looking worried nowadays
It’s not easy to stay out of the clichés
Where are the youngsters? What are their means?
I’d like to see them bleed for a new beginning
I’m not done I still have a lot to say

One word, one secret
One word

That I don’t want to say to you now,
I don’t want to play in this ground
I just want to stay out of bounds
And leave it behind

To this world of mine
One word to leave behind

I don’t want to say to you now,
I don’t want to play in this ground
I just want to stay out of bounds
And leave it behind
