Paper Tigers

from Decalogy by G.A.S. DRUMMERS

lyrics

Everything
Is back in its place
And some day they’ll say
Why we ever had to change?

Words are said,
Thousands of books are written,
I took a million pictures and
Hold them to our graves.

Burn our eyes
Break our bones
How many wounded bodies can you touch?

Who knows what was wrong with Babylon?

If their minds
Are a crafted paradise
We should rent a house there,
By the sunny seaside.

We should run.
Run into their arms
Because peace means freedom
And victory is disease.

How many wounded bodies can you see?

Who knows what was wrong with Babylon.

Paper tigers, torn stripes,
There is no place for love
Paper tigers, gun in hand
Tell me what, what was wrong with Babylon?

Who knows what was wrong with Babylon.
