Something Personal

from Dialectics by G.A.S. DRUMMERS

/

lyrics

I know something else about this town,
Something that you know but you keep it underground
Something about old friends,
about the pictures that you held
And took with you the day you were gone.

Everything has changed now that I know
What is lying low beneath the ground of this imitation zone,
But where is the relief older generations need?
Is it me? Is it anyone? And I won't build this town, I won't build its future
Until the voice of justice make a single sound
I won't build this town.

There is something personal in this,
My constant obsession to know our place in history
We've been given an script full of empty characters in scene
And everyone is too bored to rise and too lost to fight.
And I won't build this town, I won't build its future
Until the voice of justice make a single sound I won't build this town.
