Teenage Wasteland

from Decalogy by G.A.S. DRUMMERS

/

lyrics

I was born into a teenage wasteland
I had to make my way
Nobody ever paid attention to what
I ever did
I had my skills I had my mind spinning
On myself
Somewhere my talent now is so faded out.

I won’t beat my head against the wall
I won’t say the words: “I’m getting old”
Cause maybe it’s not too late
There’s nothing to fear no.

Once I was flooded by the explosion
Of trendy new bright kids
I thought I was their tutor
What a celebrity!
Your time is up they said to me
I started to believe
The wound in my heart will blow
The stereo

I won’t beat my head against the wall
I won’t say the words: “I’m getting old”
Cause maybe it’s not too late
There’s nothing to fear no.

Teenage Wasteland.
